Mrs. Shuler passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013. Born in Galeton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Weldon and Agnes Walaski Dunham and wife of David L. Shuler. She began her career as a bookkeeper in Lake Placid, NY, then owned and operated Shuler's Restaurant with her husband in Watertown, NY. She later worked as Branch Manager at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and with her husband at their A&W restaurant in Gunnison, CO. Following retirement, they relocated to South Carolina. Glenna was a member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church where she was very active in Sunday school class as well as a member and treasurer of the Women's Club. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed sharing her talents and creations with family and friends. Just as Christ defined love on the cross through sacrifice and deed, she pursued relationships with an unconditional level of kindness, compassion, commitment and love that was felt and known by all who knew her. Graceful and kind in all her deeds, she was an incredible person.
Always positive and smiling she set an example, inspired and left a lasting impression with everyone she met.
Glenna was a dedicated wife of almost 52 years and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, Dave Shuler; children, Randy Shuler and wife, Robin, Scot Shuler, Stacy Shuler Davis and husband, Harrison, David L. Shuler, Jr.; grandchildren, Katherine, Taylor, Victoria, Amy, Jordan, Jaelen "JJ", Amanda, Payton; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ezra. She is also survived by a brother, Fred Dunham and wife, Dot, sister, Barbara Saur, mother-in-law Marion Shuler, sister-in-law Kay Sears husband Pete, and numerous extended family members.
